@Mik said in Instant Gratification: The transfer portal may collapse from overuse. I keep telling my buddies that. The portal, combined with NIL money, is making college sports just a minor league industry without any rigor. No loyalty, and you’d think this native Louisiana kid would have that!

Not as romantic as “Sleepless in Seattle.” “Panic in Chicago” can be title of a thriller/action movie.

I’d love a Lamborghini, but they don’t make one with a crane to haul me back out of it.

I mean, it looks like the FBI has asked the court to reconsider whether the physical laptop is a "record" that is subject to FOIA requests (you know, as compared to records such as emails and documents). I'd imagine if the court says yes, then the FBI will publish the laptop... however that will work. You know, if I died and the FBI looked into my death, and sure hope they wouldn't release my computer to the public just because someone asks for it.

@Mik said in Meanwhile, in Canada...: Interesting. Nunavut has surpassed Northwest Territory in mining production. They have gold and iron, while NWT has three diamond mines. NWT also has oil and gas and what would amount to a huge USEPA Superfund site on the shores of Great Slave Lake in Yellowknife, is essentially an arsenic mine that at one time contained some gold. https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.6591621

@Jolly What makes for a good morning show? At one time, like Phibes, it was cartoons. Now it’s the Weather Channel. Although, my teenage son has found a cable station that runs old 3 Stooges shorts. Nothing says Good Morning to start your retirement day like a bowl of Stooges.

I'm aware of that, but the question is how far should it be allowed to go?
